As you know, each Christmas season, Trinity Downtown invites its
neighboring Orlando churches to join in a musical stage production
and festival at the Lake Eola Park amphitheater as a gift to
the people of the community. This year’s production of The Gift
will be presented, free to the public, Friday, December 2, from
4:00 to 9:30pm followed by a full-length motion picture presented
by the City of Orlando. Holiday Lights Orlando is our presenting
sponsor for the entire evening this year, assuring it will be
bigger and better than ever. We expect 1500 to 1800 to attend.
This year’s special “gift” will include the lighting
of Orlando’s Official Christmas Tree, presented in a special ceremony
with Mayor Buddy Dyer live on WKMG-Ch6 TV at 6:15pm. Enclosed is
the News Release with details describing the Festival and Show.
Proceeds from a free-will offering will benefit Project IDignity,
a downtown ministry that helps provide proper identification for
homeless residents.
There is a considerable expense involved in bringing
this production to Downtown Orlando each year, and to help defray
some of the production costs, we ask some of our business and service
friends who are able to participate with donations and sponsorships.
This year our Title Tree Sponsor is Bethany Christian
Services. Maxim Crane and SunBelt Rentals provide tree decorating
“services in kind.” But additional sponsorships are still needed
to support the effort, including printing programs, renting stage
sound and lighting equipment, etc. As a “thank you,” sponsors are
offered certain benefits that help them identify with the overall
project as indicated on the attached Sponsorship Form.
Principal Stage Production Sponsors will have
their logos included in the printed color program to be circulated
to all audience members at the event. Principal Tree Sponsors will
have their logos on the tree sign throughout the month of December.
All will appear in the Production Website www.thegiftorlando.com
and on the huge screen on the main stage during “The Gift.”
Please consider becoming a Partner or Sponsor
of The Gift to help us share the gift of Christmas with all our
neighbors in Orlando. By Tuesday, November 22, contact me at waber315@aol.com
(407)295-6269 or send the enclosed Sponsorship Form with your check
to the church office at the above address. Merry Christmas, and
thanks from the entire cast and crew of The Gift!
