Trinity is honored to serve the women and children of the Orlando Rescue Mission on Washington Street their evening meal twice a month. You may physically serve for about 90 minutes beginning at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday, March 17. If you are unable to join the crew, please consider bringing a dessert to the school or church office by 4:00 p.m. that day as your gift of service.
Coming up very soon is another opportunity to do hands on ministry. The Orlando Rescue Mission serves an Easter meal on Good Friday to the poor, homeless and lonely people of Orlando. Trinity helps in the distribution of the invitations to that meal by hand delivering them with a gift bag we supply. This distribution is Saturday, March 27. Prior to March 24, we will be collecting tube socks, personal toiletries, water, and granola bars, and putting the gifts in a zip lock bag with a New Testament. All the items are to be donated by Trinity members, with the exception of the New Testament that will be purchased with funds granted by Thrivent for Lutherans. Sign up for either personal delivery or bring items to the church or school offices before March 24.
BRIDAL SHOWER for MELISSA! All you Trinity gals are invited to a Kitchen Bridal Shower for our school principal, Melissa Wittcop, on Sunday, March 21, at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Fellowship Hall. A Pampered Chef rep will be there, or Melissa is registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Williams-Sonoma, Kohls, or Dillards. Melissa’s financee is Matt Bergholt, Trinity’s 6th grade teacher.
