Laying the Cornerstone

These phots are among earliest known photos of Trinity's current sanctuary. The photos were found along with a dedication bulletin used during the cornerstone dedication.

The identity of the individuals in the pictures is unknown. Trinity's sanctuary was designed by the Cleveland architectural firm of Corbusier, Lenski and Foster and displays an English Gothic style of architecture. The edifice is constructed with terracotta block and is veneered with red brick. The decorative exterior details including the cornerstone are made from Indiana limestone.

The historic Trinity sanctuary has become a landmark in downtown Orlando that is recognized by thousands that pass through downtown each day. Our Sanctuary is the oldest Lutheran church building in continuous use in Orange County.
