Trinity Musicians
A whole generation of Trinity's musicians grew up under the tutelage of Mr. Ronald Prochnow, Minister of Music here 1977-2002.  Skilled and energetic, Ron was very active in the Lutheran music community throughout the District and Synod.  Teaching music in the school, leading vocal and handbell choirs, playing the organ, and coordinating the entire music program of Trinity, Mr. Prochnow devoted his life to the praise of God through music.  In his honor, the Ronald Prochnow Memorial Music Scholarship will enable a Trinity high school student to attend the Lutheran Summer Music Academy.  Contributions should be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and designated "Prochnow Scholarship."

TLS Re-enrollment
QUALITY, AFFORDABLE EDUCATION
Re-enrollment continues for current TLS families and enrollment for new families began February 2. We ask that all consider applying for Tuition Assistance through FACTS. It is a convenient way of gathering all the information we need to make a final decision on whether we can provide Tuition Assistance to your family. Our goal is to provide a quality, affordable education to the children of our community. For more information contact Antoinette Perez or 407 843 4896 x107.

Time to Share with Others
From February's Pastor's Page: Pastor Moore writes, "I believe that, if we're going to reach out to our community, we have to change. We need to reschedule our lives so that we have opportunities to appreciate the beauty of God's creation. Our neighbors should see in us a gracious peace, the peace that belongs to people redeemed by Christ and living his new life even now. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Shouldn't that mean that we will be well rested people, with time to share with our neighbors. The paper I wrote for my Doctor of Ministry class in St. Louis this January addresses this in detail. Pastor's Term Paper

Community Outreach
The Compassion Corner, a relational and service referral ministry to the homeless, is seeking volunteers. There are a number of ways to serve (i.e., donate toiletries, coffee supplies, socks, bus passes, Bibles), but we especially need individuals who can donate some time during the operating hours of 8:30-11am. and 1-3 pm., Mon-Fri. No experience or special skills are needed, other than a heart for the hurting. In January we re-opened at our new location at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Our building is located at 425 N. Magnolia Ave., directly across the street from the backside of the main courthouse. Please contact Compassion Corner at 407-488-1919 x128, please leave a message.

Moms in Touch
Are you a mom who desperately loves her children and longs for them to grow up to be loving, confident and successful? Do you fear that influences outside your control will steal their hearts? You are not alone … and you are invited to the Moms in Touch group that prays for the children of Trinity. Please join us every Thursday in the Sanctuary at 8:30 a.m. Moms In Touch International believes that children and schools worldwide can be impacted for Christ by gathering mothers to pray. Prayer is the most powerful tool we can use to defend our children from the temptations they face every day. If you have any questions please call Karen Killinger at 407-656-4202.

Crocodile Dock -
July 20-24, 2009 8:30 a.m. - NOON

Trinity Lutheran Church and School invites all children ages 3 through 12 to join in bayou fun.  Every day we begin with songs in the swamp.  After visiting the snack shack, dockside drive-in, crawfish crafts, and gator games we end the day with a firefly finale.   Come on down to the dock July 20-24, and learn how to see God in action every day.  There's no charge for five mornings of fun with God's Word.. So What's the Catch?
The grocery store gives a free item after you purchase one.  You will receive a rebate for full purchase after you submit the proper form and proof of purchase.  The political hopeful promises to deliver after you vote.  Too often gifts are based on a conditional response.  However, each Wednesday morning, Trinity ambassadors give away coffee to any one passing by without conditions.  If you find it hard to believe, check out the corner of E. Livingston and Rosalind between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. each week.  The free gift of coffee even comes with a smile and prayer for a blessed day.
We receive so much more from our Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, as a free gift.  Forgiveness and salvation are the eternal free gifts given to all people without condition.  If you would like to be part of this ministry to our neighbors in Orlando, contact Betty Traugott or the church office.

Gift Giving
When choosing gifts for family and friends for 2009, please keep in mind the TLS fundraiser Scrip Pro! Scrip Pro offers gift cards to many different retailers and restaurants. Online or in the school office you’ll find the Scip Pro order form with the list of available merchants. All forms with payments attached should be turned into the School Office. Once ordered, the cards take 7-14 days to process and arrive, so please indicate the date you’d like to receive the card with at least 2-weeks notice. Once the cards arrive at the school office, delivery of the gift cards will depend on the selection you note on the order form. Trinity Lutheran School will make a percentage from each gift card purchased--Thank you for your support of our school ministry in this way! (Scrip Form PDF)

Groups Ablaze!
Motivation for Mission is a new six-week study to help our congregation focus on our purpose as individuals and as a church. It seeks to answer the questions, “Why are we here?” This study covers the following:
• Lost in America
• Why is the Church on Earth?
• Change? You Gotta Be Kidding!
• The Search
• The Power of a Team
• Starting Interest Groups

For information about this study or to inquire about being a small group host, contact Vicar Andy, or 407-422-5704 x 113 or Dave Schernikau. Our desire is to have every regular attendee of Trinity be involved in this Bible Study.
